My Website

Here is the link to my website.

I constructed this website using the provider 'wix', they offer a wide templates and themes for entrepreneurs, business owners and artists to create websites that suit their brand and product. I used the template provided by designer Cameron Young, copyright 2023.

The first page of my website hosts a playlist created by the 'band', though I only listed the song I have permission to use, which is 'Go!' The text reading 'the race for space   out now' is fixed as a strip that stays tight, and thus doesn't move along with the pages of the website, it reinforces its message. I tried to maintain a strictly lower-case, calibri bold typography aesthetic throughout the website, straying only when grammatically necessary. Navigation tools and social media networks are also glued at the top and bottom left side of the site, as audiences read from left to right, and human eyes are naturally drawn to inspect corners.

I used genuine dates and locations from the most recent public service broadcasting uk tour as I thought these relatively small and intimate venues were reflective of the bands demographic. I stuck to a grey/two-tone colour scheme as I thought the monotone aesthetic was a good subliminal representation of the bands lack of 'flashy' imagery.

The Space Montage music video is linked in the latest video tab as a sort of 'teaser' for the 'anticipated' music video, I have been generating excitement for said video on a promotional instagram account.

I wrote the biography in lowercase typography to stick to a minimalist, laid back aesthetic. Choosing to introduce the members with their motive, and album title 'inform, educate, entertain'. I think this reference illustrates their message well, and is also a nice 'inside joke' with fans, establishing a sort of friendship.
