How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
I photographed pieces on set of the main production scene of my music video. All of my ancillary texts include imagery and iconography from the 'space scene' in my main product as I felt this reflected my intended meaning well. In terms of audience reception theory, my main product is intended to be interpreted as a goofy, 'B roll footage' type piece, it is intentionally rough around the edges. I planned it to be that way. By using images of the child actors in my ancillary texts, which are far more polished and refined than my main product, I am juxtaposing the two concepts of professionalism and spontaneous, raw creativity; whilst also incorporating the main theme of my entire project, which was the idea of childhood innocence and being able to flourish, despite being under adult supervision.
